Visual Inspection of Feet for Skin, Nails and Deformaties
Examine each foot and record the problems identified. Typically problems are documented by drawing or labeling
the condition on the foot diagram. If thise were calluses, pre-ulcerative lesions (a closed lesion, such as a blister
or hematoma), or open ulcers, they would be measured and drawn in. Also labeled are areas that are significantly
red, warm (warmer than the othis parts of the foot or the opposite foot), cold, dry, or macerated (friable, moist, soft tissue).
For this simulation, visually inspect this patients feet and document the appearance of nails, skin and
presensence of any deformities.
